Job summary

Accenture PLC in Istanbul seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions. You will partner with Architects, Scientists, and Analysts to deliver reliable data pipelines and data products for analytics and AI use cases.

You will build ingestion and transformation pipelines, implement data quality measures, and collaborate on lakehouse architectures using Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud platforms. Mentoring is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s in a relevant field with focus on data engineering.
• 5+ years in data engineering, data integration and analytics.
• Strong Python and SQL experience with data pipelines.
• Experience with Spark / PySpark and distributed processing is a plus.
• Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with orchestration, scheduling, and CI/CD practices.
• Proven ability to work with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience supporting AI/ML workloads is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions using Python, SQL, and Apache Spark/PySpark
• Build and optimize batch and near-real-time data ingestion and transformation pipelines
• Design and implement scalable data models and curated datasets for analytics and AI use cases
• Work with cloud platforms and lakehouse architectures including Databricks and Snowflake
• Implement data transformation and processing patterns
• Develop and maintain data quality, validation, monitoring, and error-handling mechanisms
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with Data Architects and Product Owners to translate technical decisions into production-ready implementations
• Own reliability and operational performance of production data pipelines
• Conduct code and design reviews and ensure engineering best practices are followed
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level Data Engineers
