Job summary

Work Life Group seeks a senior software architect to transform a 10+ year legacy codebase into a high-velocity, agent-operable architecture at the intersection of software architecture, AI-agent orchestration and engineering governance. This remote-first, globally distributed team offers high ownership, flexibility and impact across multiple products and technologies.

The role focuses on decomposing monoliths, modernizing with the Strangler Pattern, and enforcing SOLID, DI, and Hexagonal

Qualifications

7+ years in software architecture or technical leadership.
Experience modernizing large, undocumented legacy systems.
Hands-on with TypeScript, .NET, and Node.js.
Strong background in API design and distributed systems.
Practical experience with agentic development, MCP, LLM tooling, or AI-assisted engineering.

Responsibilities

Design agent-operable system architecture across services.
Lead modernization using the Strangler Pattern with contract-driven interfaces.
Enforce SOLID, Dependency Injection, and Hexagonal Architecture for deterministic AI execution.
Own contract-first API design as the primary interface between human intent and autonomous agent execution.
Act as architectural gatekeeper for AI-generated PRs and ensure scalability, security, and maintainability.
