The Role

As a Sales Manager Government & Diplomatic Relations, you will support the Government & Diplomatic Sales team in achieving commercial targets, strengthening key partnerships, and ensuring the highest level of service for our valued government and diplomatic guests. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow your career in Sales within one of Hilton’s most prestigious hotels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and recommend sales programs while setting short- and long-term sales strategies.
  • Act as an advisor to operation departments regarding projects, tasks, and high protocol events.
  • Oversee daily Government Sales activities including:
  • Review VIP & Arrival reports.
  • Ensure accurate reservations, proper room assignments, and VIP treatments.
  • Coordinate with in-house departments for smooth operations.
  • Build morale and promote teamwork within a competitive sales environment.
  • Attend local networking events, exhibitions, and receptions with government institutions.
  • Conduct a minimum of 15 sales calls per week (mainly Istanbul, occasionally other cities).
  • Organize at least 4 client entertainments per week.
  • Generate a minimum of 5 group leads per month.
  • Manage RFP processes, local agreements, and rate strategy.
  • Promote and sell F&B outlets, car park, Health Club, and Laundry services (Total Account Management).
  • Keep clients informed on new products, services, and developments.
  • Plan and execute sales actions to meet Hilton İstanbul Bosphorus’ budget, forecasts, and objectives.
  • Review catering production reports and direct the team on new and existing leads.
  • Prioritize and follow up group leads with the GC&E Manager.
  • Maintain close contact with bookers and accounts, sharing updates with Group Sales.
  • Monitor media, political/economic developments, city events, and projects to identify new opportunities.
  • Track upcoming meetings and conferences in Istanbul to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
  • Gather intelligence, analyze, and apply insights within the sales process.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Previous experience in Sales or Guest Relations, ideally within hospitality or a luxury hotel environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with high-level officials and diplomatic clients.

Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

A proactive and flexible approach to work, with strong problem-solving skills.

Fluency in Turkish and English (additional languages are an advantage).

Knowledge of government protocols and procedures is a plus.
