A leading company in the chemical industry seeks an R&D Senior Specialist to join their innovative team. Ideal candidates will have an MS or PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and a strong background in Polymer Chemistry. You will lead projects aimed at sustainable product development and utilize advanced techniques in polymer characterization. AKSA, a company of Akkök Holding, was founded in 1968 in Yalova. Becoming the world’s largest producer of acrylic fiber over the years, Aksa today serves approximately 300 customers in over 50 countries across 5 continents. Having a capacity of 330.000 tons per year, Aksa supplies raw materials for textiles and technical textiles in many diverse areas.
We are looking for a R&D Senior Specialist who will be reporting to the R&D Manager.
Qualities We Are Looking For;
• MS or PhD from Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Departments specialized in Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Physics or Polymer Engineering, preferably with industry experience,
• Minimum 5 years industry experience,
• Fundamental understanding of polymer synthesis, polymer characterization techniques such as GPC/SEC, FT-IR, NMR, DSC and TGA,
• Hands-on experience in Polymer processing and rheology (i.e polymer fiber processing, spinning), polymer morphology, polymer blends and additives with in depth understanding of structure-property relationships of polymers,
• Demonstrated experience in leading EU Horizon and TÜBİTAK TEYDEB projects, with strong expertise in patent application processes and intellectual property management,
• Proven experience in driving innovative and breakthrough product development, with a track record of leading projects from concept to successful product launch,
• Investigate and explore new ideas, demonstrate proof of concept, create new intellectual properties with a focus and understanding in sustainability,
• Excellent command of English- both spoken and written,
• Must be self-motivated, well-organized, persistent, team-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks,
