Job summary

CACTUS is seeking remote copyeditors to work on a contractual basis. You will edit scientific manuscripts to ensure grammar, clarity, and adherence to journal guidelines, while preserving authors' meaning.

You will also verify references, affiliations, and figure/table callouts to maintain consistency across a full manuscript package. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Medicine or Life Sciences, proven academic editing experience, and proficiency with MS Word Track Changes.

Qualifications

• Experience editing academic manuscripts for grammar, clarity and scientific style.
• Familiarity with journal guidelines and house style.
• Ability to verify references, figures, and author affiliations.

Responsibilities

• Copy-edit manuscripts to standard scientific English, ensuring readability and global suitability.
