Job summary

Cactus Communications is hiring copyeditors for remote, work-from-home positions on a contractual basis with renewal possible upon mutual consent. Work will be available regularly to maintain a predictable schedule.

The role focuses on editing manuscripts to meet scientific English standards, journal style guidelines, and accurate metadata verification, with flexible, remote work from India.

Qualifications

• A degree (min. bachelor’s) in Medicine and Life Sciences.
• Experience in editing in any form.
• Proficiency in using MS Word, specifically, Track Changes and styling options.
• Familiarity with the AMA style guide (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Copy-edit manuscripts such that the final text is in standard scientific English.
• Ensure manuscript conforms to journal style requirements (references, formatting, units, etc.).
• Crosscheck metadata such as references, affiliations, and figure/table callouts.
