Job summary

Flatiron is a global remote software development company seeking a senior full‑stack engineer to join a Scrum team working across US time zones. You will collaborate with engineers, stakeholders and data scientists to deliver scalable backend services and AI/ML features.

The role emphasizes Python or Node.js on the backend, React/Next.js on the frontend, and TypeScript, with a strong focus on code quality, testing, and agile practices. Remote work is supported for an international team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Backend experience in Python and/or Node.js.
• Frontend experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Advanced English written and spoken.
• Adtech or real-time bidding experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS, GCP or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable full-stack applications with emphasis on backend architecture.
• Lead integration of AI/ML features with data scientists and engineers.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python or Node.js.
• Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks across the software development lifecycle.
• Debug, optimize, and maintain backend systems, APIs, and data workflows.
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices.
• Document development phases, monitor system performance, and improve reliability.
• Participate in Scrum meetings and contribute to product and technical decisions.
