Job summary

Crossing Hurdles seeks an experienced backend engineer to contribute expert-level code samples and debugging strategies across Python, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript. You will tackle complex defects and performance bottlenecks in diverse codebases while shaping scalable, maintainable features.

You will refactor legacy code, document reasoning and solutions, and participate in code reviews to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Strong backend experience in Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, C++ or similar.
• Track record building scalable services and APIs.
• Comfort with debugging, performance work and automated testing.
• Solid code review instincts.
• Proven backend development experience delivering high-quality, performant projects.
• Demonstrated success in identifying and resolving software bugs and system bottlenecks.
• Experience with codebase refactoring and implementing complex features in large-scale applications.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and foundational CS concepts.
