Job summary

World Business Lenders (WBL) seeks an entry-level Cloud Engineer to assist in the deployment, operation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. You will work under the Infrastructure & Security Manager to ensure reliable, secure, and cost-effective environments, with Microsoft Azure and DevOps/IaC experience strongly preferred.

Ideal candidates have foundational cloud knowledge, scripting basics, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

Foundational knowledge of cloud computing, networking, DNS, IAM and Windows/Linux admin.
Basic scripting in PowerShell or Python; able to follow change procedures.
Relevant education, technical training, or equivalent demonstrated skills.

Responsibilities

Provision and maintain cloud resources using approved configurations and change procedures.
Support VMs, storage, networking, identity permissions, and services hosting WBL apps.
Monitor availability, performance, and resource usage; troubleshoot issues.
Maintain backups and assist with restore testing and disaster recovery exercises.
Apply patches and security settings; collaborate with Cybersecurity to address issues.
Use scripts and infra templates to automate tasks; document changes before deployment.
Track cloud spending; identify unused/oversized resources and suggest cost improvements.
Maintain infrastructure records and SOPs; coordinate deployments with teams.
