Job summary

A leading food and nutrition company in Turkey is looking for a Regulatory Specialist to ensure compliance for product sales in MENAT & CIS. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Food Science and at least 2 years of regulatory experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of Turkish and CIS food regulations, and be bilingual in Russian and English. About the role

In this role, you be an individual contributor responsible for strategic and proactively influencing, leading and communicating on regulatory matters within Kerry and externally. Concurrently you will ensure all Kerry Products are compliant for sale within MENAT (Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey) & CIS.

Key responsibilities
  • Ensure timely registration on new products/SKUs in Turkey and CIS markets by working closely and lesioning with the relevant competent authorities.
  • Support border clearance of import/export consignments by working closely with customs and relevant authorities.
  • Maintenance and implementation of the Regulatory management system (Optiva, MDM and etc).
  • Monitor changes in the food regulations and pro‐actively liaise with relevant RD&A representatives and/or local competent authorities to minimize any impact to the business.
  • Ensure continuous regulatory intelligence and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Assess the impact of upcoming regulatory changes and advise on impact to supply chain/distribution processes
  • Support New Product Development through participation at product brief and artwork development stages.
  • Provide expertise and direction on product classification and product claims during the NPD Process.
Qualifications and skills
  • Liaise & communicate with Corporate Legal and Finance team on strategic and operational regulatory issues
  • Create and drive the global regulatory organization goals & objectives in line with the Kerry global regulatory strategy
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or similar field, with minimum 2 years’ experience in Regulatory for a Global Food Business industry.
  • Experience in working with the government (Turkey & CIS Food Authorities)
  • Expert observation, analysis and judgement (i.e., analytical and objective mind-set)
  • Strong background in Food Science & Regulatory standards of Turkey & CIS
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams within the organization at all levels
  • Must be able to speak and write in Russian & English
