  • Shows patient participation in lifestyle changes by summarizing patient outcomes in a clear, concise, meaningful manner.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the clinical application of physical activity in the treatment of a wide variety of disease states.
  • Demonstrates understanding of basic pathophysiology of disease states, risk factors and indications for primary and secondary prevention programming. Uses understanding to customize programs based on the patient needs.

Overview of Position:

Assists in providing a broad range of services characteristic of a comprehensive health and wellness program. Services include but are not limited to utilization of a functional capacity assessment, exercise training, dietary screening, risk factor management, health education and psychosocial support. Acts as a premier resource in providing exercise recommendation and activities for organizations, employees and community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • 1. Serves as a resource person for employees and community regarding health and wellness.
