Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY TURKEY ELEKTRIK SANAYI ANONIM SIRKETI is seeking a HUB Machinery Safety Specialist for the Transformers Business Unit in Asia, Middle East and Africa. Based in Dilovası, Turkiye, you will lead machine safety programs, assess risks, and ensure safeguarding across the region.

The role focuses on functional safety, electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, and industrial machinery standards. Travel to regional sites is expected to strengthen safety competency and drive best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering or related engineering fields (HSE education desirable).
• CMSE - Certified Machinery Safety Expert certification is required.
• Understanding EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and ISO 12100; experience with machinery safety.
• Lean Manufacturing exposure; ability to read/design electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Lead machinery safety across the region and act as technical lead for risk assessment and safeguarding.
• Provide training to build local machine safety competency and support CAPEX projects.
• Support incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Travel regionally to support local sites and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with global process teams and equipment suppliers on safety initiatives.
