Job summary

SiFly Aviation seeks a high-capacity engineer to contribute across embedded development, real-time processing, and system integration. You will work from firmware on microcontrollers to high-level applications handling video, telemetry, and sensor data with low latency and predictable behavior.

The role emphasizes ownership and end-to-end responsibility, from initial questions to reliable, maintainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Embedded and real-time programming in C/C++ and Python on constrained hardware.
• Solid understanding of digital signal processing, vision, and sensor fusion for real-time execution.
• Experience integrating sensors, actuators, and comms; calibration and alignment.
• Practical debugging across hardware, firmware, and software layers; root-cause oriented approach.
• Broad ownership across hardware, firmware, and software with end-to-end accountability.
• Advanced English language skills for coordination across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Write real-time embedded Linux software for constrained hardware.
• Apply signal processing, estimation, and vision to extract reliable information.
• Fuse sensors to improve reliability in dynamic environments.
• Integrate full systems: sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces.
• Create efficient data paths for video, telemetry, and sensor data with low latency.
• Tune camera parameters and apply calibration methods for consistency.
• Debug across the stack and drive issues to root cause.
• Take concepts from prototype to product with maintainable solutions.
• Present complex measurements clearly for debugging and evaluation.
• Work in the field with the team to test on real aircraft.
