Qualifications

  • BSc in food or chemistry engineering is required.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with vendor and factory audits needed.

We are currently looking for a Temporary Raw Material & Vendor Assessment Specialist to join our Balıkesir Factory team.

Location: Balıkesir

Type of contract: Temporary (2 years)

As a Raw Material & Vendor Assessment Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Supporting the Raw Material & Vendor Quality Supervisor in developing quality roadmaps and objectives, and monitoring their enforcement through relevant KPIs.
  2. Promoting quality awareness and communication programs to ensure every employee influences quality and trust through leadership, dedication, and passion.
  3. Communicating, supervising, and enforcing Nestlé Quality Management System requirements within category-specific vendors at the Balıkesir Factory.
  4. Planning and completing raw material vendor batch production, ensuring approval for quality and food safety compliance.
  5. Planning and performing raw material vendor site audits.
  6. Supporting raw material food safety risk management for all stakeholders.
  7. Managing ingredient sample processes, including preparation, shipment, and lab orders.
  8. Coordinating with suppliers for necessary documentation for vendor creation and liaising with procurement staff to facilitate documentation processes.
  9. Supporting audit activities and participating in supplier meetings.
  10. Collecting and documenting information, requesting samples, and preparing them for dispatch to laboratories in Turkey and internationally.
  11. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to achieve First Time Right in a no-waste environment for raw materials.
  12. Monitoring vendor quality performance and advising on improvement opportunities towards zero defect management.
  13. Assisting in the Management Review of Quality for vendor activities under her/his responsibility.

Profile we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food or chemistry engineering
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in vendor and factory audits
  • Good knowledge of food regulations and international standards
  • Structured, detail-oriented approach to inspections, reporting, and quality standards
  • Confident use of SAP, Food Safety, and Quality Management tools
  • Able to travel frequently
  • Living in or willing to move to Balıkesir
