Job summary

3M is seeking an R&D Product Engineer at the Cerkezkoy plant in Turkey. You will lead scale-up projects, transfer new technologies to manufacturing, and provide technical support to minimize downtime across lines.

The role requires collaboration with R&D, quality, and operations to meet business objectives. The position is on-site with up to 20% travel, four days a week at the Turkey plant, and requires proficiency in English and Turkish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or science field.
• Professional experience in scale-up and technology transfer in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in English and Turkish.

Responsibilities

• Performing and guiding approved self-initiated or assigned programs of major importance to the assigned organization leading to and/or supporting innovative applications and extensions of new and existing technologies, products and/or businesses.
• Leading and supporting the implementation and scale-up of new technologies, ensuring seamless integration into manufacturing.
• Providing technical support to maintain and troubleshoot current technologies, resolving issues to minimize downtime.
• Managing and executing product and technology transfers across manufacturing lines and locations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, quality, and operations to deliver business objectives.
• Applying statistical thinking and data analysis tools to evaluate processes, identify improvements, and drive performance.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex technical challenges.
