Job Description

• Develops and compares alternative design solutions with defined evaluation criteria
• Prepares technical specifications in collaboration with responsible engineers
• Coordinates 3D modeling and drafting tasks with design drafters
• Performs tolerance and basic engineering calculations using standard tools
• Manages part and BOM creation, prepares ECR and MOS, and reviews ISIRs
• Ensures compliance with internal and external design standards and guidelines
• Participates in technical risk management (e.g., S/D-FMEA) and aligns with focus matrix topics
• Contributes to technical discussions with preventive and corrective design actions
• Prepares design documentation including key calculations and definition of special characteristics
• Engages in technical discussions with suppliers, considering cost and quality targets

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and an independent, proactive personality.
• Proven experience in the design and development of parts and assemblies for series production of consumer products.
• Solid knowledge of modern manufacturing methods (plastics, metals, seals).
• Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, FTA, DRBFM, and 8D.
• Creative, analytical, and result-oriented team player.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Experience with tools and systems such as MS Office, SAP, Teamcenter, and UG NX.
