• Lead the technical design and implementation of R&D Data & AI solutions across data engineering, analytics, AI services and application development.
• Provide hands-on expertise throughout the engineering lifecycle from prototypes to production.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical and engineering challenges.
• Collaborate with software architects to ensure interoperability across the tech ecosystem.
• Guide architectural and technology decisions within a complex data and AI environment.
• Mentor data engineers, data scientists and full-stack engineers across teams.
• Lead code reviews and promote engineering excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure solutions meet reliability, security, scalability, observability and maintainability standards.
• Embed data governance, security and compliance into designs and delivery.
• Collaborate with scientific stakeholders to translate R&D needs into solutions.
