Our team is looking for a QA Engineer to ensure quality and excellence in Shopify theme development, broader Shopify development projects, and client store configurations. As part of our QA team, you’ll work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to enhance the quality of our Shopify themes, applications, integrations, and store setups. You’ll lead testing efforts, streamline processes, and take ownership of ensuring every deliverable meets our high standards.

What you’ll be doing:

• Reviewing and validating Shopify themes, custom development, integrations, and store configurations to ensure functionality, performance, usability, and overall quality assurance.
• Writing and maintaining automated tests for theme and app functionalities using tools like Cypress or TestCafe.
• Identifying, recording, and tracking bugs through the development lifecycle (e.g., using ClickUp).
• Analyzing requirements, documentation, and providing actionable feedback to developers and product managers to enhance quality and performance.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand project scope and identify potential risks early.
• Optimizing QA workflows to enhance efficiency, boost effectiveness, and minimize testing time while maintaining uncompromising quality throughout the development process.
• Ensuring accessibility standards (WCAG) are met across all themes, applications and custom solutions.
• Conducting usability, performance, and accessibility testing to deliver exceptional merchant and customer experiences.
• Sharing insights, leading demos, and organizing knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team collaboration and QA efficiency.

You’ll need to have:

• Proven experience with manual and automated testing for web applications, especially Shopify themes or e-commerce platforms.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams, with strong communication skills to align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to lead testing strategies and mentor team members on QA best practices.

It’d be great if you have experience with:

• Shopify development, including customizations like metafields and advanced implementations.
• Automation frameworks and scripting languages.
• Version control systems like Git.
• Performance testing tools and optimization techniques for Shopify themes and applications.
• Mobile-specific testing for iOS and Android.
• Accessibility standards (WCAG) and testing tools.
• Contribute to the quality and excellence of Shopify themes, custom developments, and store configurations trusted by merchants worldwide.
• Collaborate with a talented, passionate team dedicated to creating exceptional e-commerce solutions.
• Shape the QA processes for Shopify projects, driving efficiency, innovation, and scalability.
