Qualifications
- Preferably bachelor’s degree in Engineering,
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of Purchasing, Cost Break Down, and Costing Metrics,
- Data-driven; capable of gathering and analyzing data, preparing spreadsheets, and making informed decisions based on numerical insights,
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience,
- Strong communication & stakeholder management and negotation skills,
- Thinking out of the box and looking for ways to develop responsible area,
- Eager to learn and take initiative,
- High degree of ethics and professionalism is mandatory,
- A good team player,
- Good level of English (needed to communicate with overseas group companies for periodical reporting etc),
- Good knowledge on SAP and Excel.
Job Description
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the responsibilities are listed below:
- Researching and identifying prospective suppliers for direct&indirect purchasing,
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and maintaining strong supplier relations,
- Evaluating suppliers according to key business criteria,
- Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions,
- Following up industry trends and supporting management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies,
- Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and purchasing records,
- Conducting and reporting cost reduction studies,
- Making and reporting calculations arising from periodic price agreements,
- Handles routine commercial matters & supports day-to-day operational issue resolution,
- Conducts spot buy purchases,
- Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
