Job summary

ABB is seeking a Project Engineer in Dilovası, Kocaeli, hybrid model, to support MV primary AIS switchgear projects. You will deliver technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals, providing recommendations to ensure timely, on-budget delivery with quality and safety compliance.

Requirements include a 5+ year track record in switchgear design, English proficiency, and familiarity with E-Plan/AutoCAD. You will work under the Engineering Manager on multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in design of switchgear projects; LV or MV experience a plus.
• Good command of written and spoken English; E-Plan knowledge preferable.

Responsibilities

• Follow the project from start to delivery.
• Create electrical designs using E-Plan and AutoCAD.
• Configure protection relay programming.
• Prepare design output documents.
• Track non-conformance reports and take preventive actions.

This position reports to: Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Working as a Project Engineer, you will be the support person for various MV primary AIS switchgear engineering projects in MV primary AIS, Electrification, Distribution Solutions, providing technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals. In this role, you will make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety guidelines.

Working location: Dilovası Kocaeli (Hbyrid Model)

Key Responsibilities

• Following up the project from beginning to the delivery
• Making electrical design using the necessary tools and programs (E-Plan, AutoCAD)
• Making protection relay programming
• Preparing the documentations for design output,
• Following non-conformance reports and taking necessary preventive actions
• Writing technical and material standards
• Working on standardization projects

Qualifications

• Graduated from Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical Teaching, Automation Engineering or relevant departments
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design of switchgear projects (Experience in Low Voltage Switchgears or Medium Voltage Switchgears will be plus)
• Good command of written and spoken English is must
• E-Plan knowledge is preferable
• Analytical mindset with strong planning and self-learning skills
• Strong ability to follow up and pay attention to the details in the projects
• Suitable to work with different projects at the same time
