Job summary

A major global glass manufacturer is seeking a Production Technology Strategies Manager to contribute to the definition of production technology strategies and provide strategic input for the development of a technology roadmap. This role requires extensive experience in business development, strong project management skills, and proficiency in English. The position is based in Tuzla, Istanbul.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Natural Sciences.
• Min. 7 years of experience in business development and strategy fields.
• Proven experience in developing / influencing organizational strategies and initiating change across organizational boundaries.
• Excellent business acumen with budget planning experience.
• Proficiency in strategic analysis tools and methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of production systems, process auditing, and operational standards.
• Experience in project management, feasibility reporting and analysis.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.

We are looking for a Production Technology Strategies Manager to join Şişecam Headquarters in Tuzla / Istanbul. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Natural Sciences
• Min. 7 years of experience in business development and strategy fields
• Proven experience in developing / influencing organizational strategies and initiating change across organizational boundaries
• Excellent business acumen with budget planning experience and understanding of the financial implications of new product and technological development
• Proficiency in strategic analysis tools and methodologies
• Strong knowledge of production systems, process auditing, and operational standards – preferably trained in Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and lean production
• Knowledge in open innovation approaches with strong analytical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Experience in project management, feasibility reporting and analysis
• High learning agility and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, organization and prioritization skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English

Role Description

• Contributing to the definition of Şişecam’s Production Technology Strategies
• Providing strategic input for the development of a strategic technology roadmap within the scope of production technologies
• Keeping R&D strategies in line with corporate strategies
• Coordinating with relevant teams to ensure effective budgeting and collaboration processes for R&D projects
• Operating the monitoring and reporting structure for R&D projects, ensuring crossfunctional collaboration, monitoring R&D KPI’s
• Leading standardization initiatives for production assets and technological services
• Reviewing potential partner evaluations and providing input to support collaboration partner selection processes
