Job summary

CATL Türkiye seeks a Production Planning Engineer based at our Bursa facility. You will manage the seamless flow of materials to support production schedules, forecast demand, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with Procurement, Warehousing, Production and Quality teams to address delays or shortages.

The role requires strong analytical capabilities, hands-on ERP and MRP experience (SAP preferred), advanced Excel skills, and the ability to optimize inventory while minimizing obsolete stock in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in material planning, production control, or supply chain roles in manufacturing; automotive/battery/electronics preferred.
• Proficient in English (written and verbal).
• Experience with ERP systems and MRP modules; SAP preferred.
• Strong analytics and data-processing skills; advanced Excel; Power BI and SQL are a plus.
• Excellent communication and coordination across cross-functional teams.

• Analyze inventory turnover; identify slow-moving/obsolete materials and implement reduction plans.

We are looking for an experienced Production Planning Engineer to join our team and be based at our Bursa facility in Turkiye.

Position Overview

The Material Planning Engineer is responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of materials to support production schedules at CATL Türkiye. The role involves forecasting material demand, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and proactively addressing supply chain disruptions.

The ideal candidate will leverage strong analytical skills and expertise in ERP systems to optimize inventory levels, minimize material shortages, and enhance operational efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production continuity and ensuring cost-effective inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop short- to medium-term material requirements plans (MRP) based on sales forecasts, production schedules, and historical data. Monitor forecast accuracy and proactively adjust plans.
• Monitor daily production progress and material consumption. Ensure material availability to meet production targets and **escalate** potential shortages in advance.
• Regularly analyze inventory turnover, identify slow-moving or obsolete materials, and implement action plans (e.g., return, reuse, and scrap) to reduce excess stock.
• Act as the primary point of contact for material-related issues. Collaborate with Procurement, Warehousing, Production, and Quality teams to resolve delays, defects, and urgent requests.
• Assist the Finance team with monthly and quarterly physical inventory counts. Maintain accurate material master data and planning parameters in ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in material planning, production control, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment. Experience in the automotive, battery, or electronics industries is preferred.
• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and MRP modules; SAP experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical and data-processing skills. Advanced Excel proficiency is required; knowledge of Power BI and SQL is a plus.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility.
