Description
This position provides technical Lifecycle Services and Support to customers in Izmir, Türkiye, for Ethylene Mixed Feed Cracking and Polypropylene/Polymers technologies. The role involves providing both home office and on-site technical engineering assistance to address operational issues and enhance performance.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Provide post start-up technical services and assistance, including troubleshooting, data analysis, performance improvements, unit turnarounds, safety incident investigations, maintenance issue resolution, and customer support regarding production and operations.
- Conduct surveys to gather field data and benchmark licensee plant performance.
- Support client communication with equipment vendors.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations internally and to customers.
- Review, develop, and resend training materials for customers.
- Interpret and prepare engineering documents.
- Provide feedback for design and procedural improvements based on field experience.
- Prepare operational write-ups, troubleshooting guides, and safety advice.
- Conduct plant assessments and audits to identify improvement areas.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to provide professional feedback.
- Work on small projects, including process simulations.
- Evaluate the application potential of latest innovations and technologies.
- Support various business activities such as HAZOP, model reviews, piping checks, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing support.
- Visit customer sites regularly.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- University degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 10–15 years of experience in ethylene plant operation, design, and simulation.
- Fluent in business English (verbal and written).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to multitask and complete tasks on time and within budget.
- Customer-focused with strong leadership, interpersonal, and intercultural skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Self-motivated with high energy levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally (~30%).
- Experience with process technology licensors is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and process simulation software.
