Job summary

BGTS seeks a seasoned Solution Architect with banking domain experience to lead technical discovery and shape end-to-end architectures for transformative projects. You will own RFP content, design reference architectures, and collaborate with sales to align delivery scopes.

You will advise on AI adoption, governance, and risk, ensuring production-grade systems while communicating across CIOs and engineering teams in English.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in solution architecture, technical consulting, or presales with banking/financial services experience.
• Experience with core banking platforms (Temenos, Thought Machine, FlexCube, Mambu, Tuum, Fimple or comparable) and modern digital banking architecture.
• Knowledge of AI adoption in financial services: GenAI use cases, governance, human-in-the-loop design, production-grade concepts.
• Familiarity with regulatory context: DORA, PSD2/PSD3, GDPR, BCBS 239, EU AI Act and local supervisory expectations.
• Hands-on coding ability to read codebases and prototype integrations; not a full-time developer.
• Excellent written and verbal English; comfortable with CIO conversations and architecture reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with business and IT stakeholders and translate findings into architectures and roadmaps.
• Own the solution content of RFPs, RFIs, and tenders — architecture, delivery model, assumptions, risks, and effort estimates.
• Design and present demos, proofs of concept, and reference architectures; where a working prototype helps, build it.
• Shape commercial structure with sales and delivery: scope, estimation, T&M vs fixed-price, accountability.
• Advise clients on where AI adds value versus regulatory/operational risk and define governance needs for production use.
• Act as bridge into delivery to ensure what was sold is what gets built.
• Create reusable assets: solution patterns, estimation models, accelerators, and internal enablement.

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery with business and IT stakeholders; convert findings into target architectures, transformation roadmaps, and phased delivery plans.
  
• Own the solution content of RFPs, RFIs, and tenders — architecture, delivery model, assumptions, risks, and effort estimates that survive scrutiny.
  
• Design and present demos, proofs of concept, and reference architectures. Where a working prototype makes the argument better than a slide, build it.
  
• Shape commercial structure alongside sales and delivery: scope boundaries, estimation, T&M versus fixed-price trade-offs, and accountability overlays.
  
• Advise clients on where AI genuinely creates value versus where it introduces regulatory and operational risk — and articulate the governance required for production use.
  
• Act as the bridge into delivery, ensuring what was sold is what gets built.
  
• Contribute to reusable assets: solution patterns, estimation models, accelerators, and internal enablement.
  

What you bring

• 7+ years in solution architecture, technical consulting, or presales, with meaningful time in banking or financial services.
  
• Working knowledge of core banking platforms (Temenos, Thought Machine, FlexCube, Mambu, Tuum, Fimple or comparable) and modern digital banking architecture — API-led design, event-driven integration, cloud-native deployment.
  
• Practical understanding of AI adoption in financial services: agentic and GenAI use cases, model governance, human-in-the-loop design, and the difference between a demo and a production-grade system.
  
• Awareness of the regulatory context: DORA, PSD2/PSD3, GDPR, BCBS 239, EU AI Act, and local supervisory expectations.
  
• Enough hands-on coding to stay credible — you can read a codebase, prototype an integration, and hold your own with engineers. We are not asking you to be a full-time developer.
  
• Exceptional written and verbal communication in English. You can move between a CIO conversation and an architecture review without changing your credibility.
