Open position for Assistant or Associate Professor of Architecture

The Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture and Design (www.ozyegin.edu.tr/en/architecture) at Özyeğin University, Istanbul, Turkey, invites international applications for the position starting in the Academic Year 2018-2019 or later.

We are seeking highly qualified individuals for one faculty position to teach undergraduate courses in architectural design and theoretical courses. The appointment will be at the level of either Assistant Professor or Associate Professor.

Responsibilities include teaching five courses and/or studios throughout the year, covering design studios and theoretical courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates should be actively engaged in advanced experimental design practice, research, and publication. Conducting design and scholarly creative activities within the school is essential. Applicants must hold a PhD in architecture and demonstrate innovative design investigation, scholarly activity, and/or professional practice.

The successful candidate will have the interest and ability to address issues across the department and contribute to developing funded research projects, as well as the school's advanced studies and graduate programs. Teaching will be conducted in English at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
