Job summary

GE Aerospace’s Türkiye Technology Center in Istanbul and Gebze invites an NTI Hardware Manufacturing Engineer to translate design requirements into practical manufacturing routes. You will develop end‑to‑end plans for NTI parts across internal operations and suppliers, driving qualification and delivery.

The ideal candidate has aerospace experience, 8+ years in manufacturing or design, and a proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, manage risks, and balance make/buy decisions to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 8+ years designing, manufacturing, inspecting, or improving part families or processes.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, inspection methods, and quality systems.
• Experience with aircraft engine components manufacturing shop.
• Ability to build end-to-end manufacturing plans (routing, tooling, inspection, outside processing).
• Experience identifying and managing supplier, sub-tier, and special process dependencies.
• Ability to lead cross-functional coordination and communicate risks early.

Responsibilities

• Create end-to-end NTI manufacturing plans for assigned NTI parts.
• Define routing, process sequence, tooling, inspection requirements, and outside processing needs.
• Assess producibility and identify manufacturing risks early in the planning cycle.
• Map supplier, sub-tier, and special process dependencies required to execute the part, and support make/buy and source decisions.
• Serve as the part-level manufacturing project manager through planning and execution — tracking milestones, constraints, and open issues to closure.
• Engage SMEs as needed, including special processes, materials, quality, tooling, manufacturing experts and others.
• Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, tooling, suppliers, and special process owners — often without direct authority over them.
• Document manufacturing plans, assumptions, risks, decisions, and lessons learned for reuse on future parts.
