Job summary

Randstad Türkiye seeks a Molding/Process Engineer in Gebze to drive new process development and optimize current molding operations. You will lead process improvement initiatives, mentor technicians, and document procedures to ensure consistent quality and throughput.

You will collaborate with vendors and manufacturing teams to resolve machine and material issues, monitor performance, and support cost-reduction efforts while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline related to mechanical or plastics engineering.
• Strong background in injection molding processing, tooling, equipment, materials, manufacturing and quality.
• Ability to lead multiple start-up projects and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop new processes and document changes to improve product quality, productivity and OEE.
• Maintain, commission and optimize multi-cavity injection molding machines.
• Provide technical leadership to process technicians and operators.
• Develop and maintain process documentation for clarity across the team.
• Support safety, environmental and ergonomics efforts in manufacturing.

Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled 'Molding/Process Engineer' on behalf of our partner client, a global leader in packaging technologies delivering operational excellence, speed, and quality across international markets.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop new processes, assess and document new and existing processes. Implement
• and evaluate changes to existing processes designed to improve product quality,
• productivity and overall equipment efficiency.
• Experienced in the maintenance, commissioning, and production processes of multi-
• cavity injection molds with complex sliding core mechanisms.
• Develop and optimize injection molding process parameters for new products.
• Skilled in the installation, commissioning, start-up, and optimization of injection molding
• machines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process technicians, operators and other
• molding personnel.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, ensuring that processes and procedures
• are clearly stated and understandable for all employees.
• Provide technical support/solutions to manufacturing processes, improve yield and
• throughput, drive cost reduction activities and improve on part quality.
• Demonstrated ability to start-up, operate and shut down process related equipment.
• Must be able to work independently on new process development as well as
• troubleshooting current production issues.
• Work with equipment and material vendors to resolve machine and material issues.
• Monitor and report issues with injection molds, make recommendations for
• refurbishment based on production factors such as cycles, process capability and tooling
• history.
• Facilitate and support facility and manufacturing safety, environmental, and ergonomics
• efforts.
• Troubleshoot molding processes and material or equipment issues.
• Collect and analyze data on individual processes to identify and improve process
• capability.
• Leadership role in continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor ‘s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, Polymer, or a related
• Engineering discipline.Must have at least 3 years of practical work experience in an
• Strong and diverse technical background in injection molding processing, tooling,
• equipment, materials, manufacturing and quality.
• Self-starter must be able to work with little direction and with a high level of self-
• motivation.
• Ability to manage multiple start-up projects.
• Demonstrated superior communication (written and verbal), teamwork, and
• organisational skills.
• Ability to lead others, responsibility may include indirect supervision of process
• A working knowledge of a wide range of thermoplastic materials and their properties.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
