Job summary

Arup in Istanbul is seeking a Mechanical BIM Technician to support complex construction projects across mechanical systems using CAD and BIM tools. You will prepare designs, create models and drawings, and coordinate with electrical, structural and architectural teams to deliver integrated solutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with Revit MEP, MagiCAD for Revit and Navisworks, and a strong command of AutoCAD and MS Office. Turkish work authorization and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical drafting/BIM design.
• Preferably graduated from a technical drafting programme or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Revit MEP, MagiCAD for Revit and Navisworks; Dynamo is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Experience coordinating drawings across mechanical, electrical, civil and architectural disciplines.
• Completed military service (for male candidates).
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Mechanical BIM Technician to join our team in Istanbul and support the delivery of complex construction projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing designs, drawings and coordination of mechanical systems using computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM tools. The systems include heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, hot and cold water, steam, compressed air, fire protection systems and other building services.

You will work closely with engineers, architects and other disciplines to develop coordinated and practical solutions for projects.

Does this role inspire you?

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical drafting/BIM design.
• Preferably graduated from a Technical Drafting programme at a vocational high school, Mechanical Technical Drafting (Heating and Ventilation) programme at a vocational college, or a related technical university programme.
• Strong knowledge of Revit MEP, MagiCAD for Revit and Navisworks (knowledge of Dynamo is an advantage).
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Experience preparing coordinated drawings across mechanical, electrical, civil and architectural disciplines.
• Completed military service (for male candidates).
• Strong attention to detail, good organisation skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
