Job summary

Yazaki is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to be located at our Akyazı, Sakary a plant. The role involves detailed downtime analyses, leading a maintenance team on the shop floor, and ensuring timely spare parts procurement within a SAP-enabled maintenance module.

The ideal candidate holds an Engineering degree (Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics) and demonstrates a hands-on, field-oriented approach with fluency in English and Turkish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Hands-on, field-oriented approach with shop floor engagement.
• Strong English and Turkish communication skills.
• Willingness to reside in Sakarya-Kocaeli provinces.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed downtime analyses and monitor chronic equipment malfunctions.
• Lead and mobilize the team to address malfunctions promptly and effectively.
• Manage timely procurement of spare parts for responsible production areas.
• Actively utilize SAP maintenance module for operations.
• Negotiate with suppliers to improve processes and reduce spare part costs.
• Work on the shop floor within a uniquely structured maintenance organization.

What will your job be about?

• Conducting detailed downtime analyses and closely monitoring ongoing chronic equipment malfunctions
• Leading and mobilizing the team to take prompt and effective actions regarding these malfunctions
• Managing and ensuring the timely procurement of spare parts for the responsible production areas
• Actively utilizing the SAP system, specifically operating within the maintenance module
• Conducting negotiations with suppliers to improve processes and reduce spare part costs
• Working actively on the shop floor within a uniquely structured maintenance organization that differs from standard corporate structures

What will you bring with you?

• A bachelor’s degree primarily in Electrical/Electronics Engineering; Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering graduates will also be evaluated
• Basic exposure to corporate life is sufficient; highly experienced profiles are not mandatory for this role
• A hands‑on, field‑oriented approach with the ability to actively engage on the shop floor rather than just desk work
• Advanced written and spoken English & Turkish
• A strong, field‑oriented profile capable of managing both technical processes and a blue‑collar team on the shop floor
• Residing in or able to reside in Sakarya-Kocaeli provinces
