Job summary

BGTS is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to help build intelligent content recommendation experiences. You will work on recommendation systems, real-time personalization, and ML models that help users discover relevant content.

The role involves collaborating with software engineers to deploy ML in scalable production environments and to design robust A/B tests for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, ML, Data Science, Math or Statistics or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in Python; Scala experience is a plus.
• Hands-on with TensorFlow, PyTorch or scikit-learn.
• Familiar with Spark and big data processing.
• Solid software development practices and Git version control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our client’s team and help build intelligent, personalized content recommendation experiences. In this role, you will work on recommendation systems, real-time personalization, and machine learning models that help users discover relevant and engaging content.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize recommendation systems using approaches such as collaborative filtering, content-based recommendation, and hybrid models.
• Build real-time recommendation capabilities that respond to emerging trends, viral content, seasonal patterns, and other contextual signals.
• Incorporate multi-modal content analysis by leveraging computer vision, NLP, and speech-related signals to understand scenes, key moments, commentary, sentiment, and tone.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests to measure the effectiveness of recommendation algorithms and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop personalized recommendation strategies based on user segmentation, behavioral patterns, and contextual information.
• Build predictive models for metrics such as content completion probability, engagement, and dwell time.
• Monitor, maintain, and continuously enhance machine learning models and recommendation algorithms in production.
• Work closely with software engineers and other stakeholders to integrate ML solutions into scalable production environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
• Strong programming experience with Python; experience with Scala is also valuable.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Familiarity with big data processing technologies, particularly frameworks such as Apache Spark.
• Solid understanding of software development practices and experience with Git/version control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business and user needs into effective ML solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience building real-time machine learning systems or other high-performance applications.
• Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, particularly their machine learning and data services.
• Practical experience with Computer Vision and/or Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Previous experience in video streaming, digital media, entertainment, or content recommendation environments.
• Strong knowledge of A/B testing, experimentation methodologies, and statistical evaluation.
• Experience working with large-scale recommendation or personalization systems.
