Job summary

IMB Robotics is an Istanbul-based robotics and IoT startup focused on sustainable solutions in maritime and energy industries. We build rugged connected products and two core offerings: robotic inspection systems and IoT platforms for digital transformation.

The role involves developing cutting-edge ML for object recognition, preparing datasets, and leading the ML side of projects within a small team. Flexible hours are offered to work between 10am and 4pm, and IMB is an Equal Opportunity

Qualifications

• B.S. in computer science, mathematics or similar field is required.
• 3+ years of machine design experience.
• Strong theoretical background on deep neural networks and image processing techniques.
• Experience in Object Recognition/Classification/Identification and Hyperparameter Optimization.
• Knowledge/Experience on data acquisition and preprocessing.
• Experience with one of the deep learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
• Familiar with development processes (git, TFS, kanban, DevOps, CI/CD).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop machine learning solutions for object recognition and related tasks.
• Lead ML aspects of projects within a small, collaborative team.
• Continuously learn and contribute across the team to advance products.

Job description

Required

• B.S. in computer science, mathematics or similar relevant fields.
• 3+ years of machine design experience
• Strong theoretical background on deep neural networks and image processing techniques.
• Experience in Object Recognition/Classification/Identification and Hyperparameter Optimization.
• Knowledge/Experience on data acquisition and preprocessing.
• Experience with one of the deep learning frameworks (e.g. Tensorflow, Pytorch, Keras, etc.)
• Familiar with development processes (git, tfs, kanban, devops, ci/cd)

Preferred

• Master or PhD in the domains of machine learning, image processing, or computer vision.
• 3 years experience on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Alibaba etc).
• Experience on 3D Computer Vision.

A Typical Week

• Design and develop.
• Lead ML side of of the projects.
• Develop yourself and join in elsewhere (it’s a small team andthere’s always work to jump into).
