Qualifications

• 3rd/4th-year CS or related, or equivalent self-taught portfolio.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, preferably TypeScript.
• At least one project built with React or a modern frontend framework.
• Minimum B1–B2 English proficiency; able to read technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible UI components using Next.js, React and TypeScript.

• Collaborate on REST API connections and backend service integrations when needed.
• Open pull requests, incorporate code review feedback and maintain clean code.

Istanbul-based B2B software company hiring a Long-Term Software Engineering Intern for 3–6 months. Focus on modern frontend (React / Next.js / TypeScript) with API/backend integrations, structured 1:1 mentorship and B1–B2 English. Hybrid work.

Makrops builds enterprise software, SaaS platforms, mobile applications and digital twin solutions on a modern stack (Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS/Vercel).

In this 3–6 month long-term internship program, you will not work on toy sandbox projects; you will write code for real client production systems alongside experienced engineers. You will receive structured 1:1 technical mentorship, pair programming and rigorous code reviews. The role is heavily focused on frontend architecture, with occasional integration into backend APIs and services. High-performing interns will be considered for full-time or part-time Junior Software Engineer roles upon completion.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible and high-performance UI components using Next.js (App Router), React and TypeScript
• Translate Figma design specifications into pixel-perfect and maintainable web interfaces
• Collaborate on REST API connections and backend service integrations when needed
• Open pull requests, incorporate code review feedback and adopt professional clean code standards
• Assist with debugging, bug fixes and testing routines
• Participate in sprint planning, team demos and weekly 1:1 coaching sessions

Requirements

• 3rd/4th-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields (or equivalent self-taught portfolio)
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and preferably TypeScript)
• At least one personal, academic or pet project built with React or a modern frontend framework
• Minimum B1–B2 English proficiency (able to read and comprehend technical documentation comfortably)
• Ability to commit at least 3–4 days per week over a 3–6 month period (hybrid/remote flexible)
• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, receive constructive feedback and work in a team

Nice to Have

• Hands-on familiarity with Next.js (App Router) or Tailwind CSS
• Familiarity with Git & GitHub workflows (commits, branches, pull requests)
• Basic exposure to Node.js, REST APIs or databases (PostgreSQL)
• An active GitHub profile or a live project demo to showcase
