Job summary

Jobspage is seeking a mid-level Satellite Systems Engineer to help shape spacecraft design for LEO CubeSat missions with end-to-end responsibility across architecture, subsystems, integration, tests, and launch preparation.

You will select and procure COTS subsystems, manage interfaces (RS-422/232, UART, I2C, CSP, SPI, CAN), and contribute to environmental testing and AIT activities in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–6 years of relevant satellite/aerospace hardware experience.
• Strong understanding of CubeSat system hierarchy and interfaces.
• Practical experience with embedded and spacecraft interfaces (RS-422/232, UART, I2C, CSP, SPI, CAN).
• Experience selecting and working with COTS hardware, including vendor evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Drive system-level spacecraft design for LEO CubeSat missions, including architecture definition and interface management.
• Perform design trade-offs considering LEO environmental constraints (thermal cycling, radiation, launch loads).
• Lead or contribute to COTS subsystems procurement, evaluation, and qualification.
• Prepare and maintain traceable technical documentation (system requirements, ICDs, test plans, verification matrices).
• Define and maintain electrical architectures, power distribution, grounding, and data interfaces.
• Support and execute hands-on AIT activities, including hardware bring-up, integration, and testing.
• Plan and analyze environmental testing (TVAC, TID, vibration, shock).
• Support launch integration activities and early mission operations as a technical contributor.
