Bupa Acıbadem Sigorta in Türkiye seeks a seasoned Legal Counsel to monitor regulatory developments and manage litigation portfolios with external law firms. The role focuses on privacy matters and risk mitigation while providing practical business-oriented advice to internal stakeholders.

The position supports data protection compliance, proactive risk management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to safeguard the company’s interests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Law from reputable Faculty.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal departments or consultancy law firms.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of litigation and privacy matters.

Responsibilities

• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Manage and oversee litigation and dispute matters with external law firms.
• Coordinate with external law firms to ensure effective management of litigation matters.
• Prepare and follow up on court writs, garnishment orders, and other enforcement documents.
• Prepare, review and submit responses to Consumer Arbitration Committees and handle notices.
• Manage legal notices and formal correspondence with customers and third parties.
• Maintain litigation portfolio and provide regular reporting on material cases and risks.
• Coordinate with external counsel to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness of services.
• Support data protection and privacy matters and comply with applicable data protection laws.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Law from reputable Law Faculty (master degree is an asset),

Responsibilities:

• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and provide timely updates and guidance to relevant business stakeholders.


• Manage and oversee litigation and dispute matters handled by external law firms, including monitoring case strategy, progress, deadlines and outcomes.


• Coordinate with external law firms to ensure the effective and timely management of litigation and dispute resolution matters.


• Prepare and follow up on court writs, salary garnishment orders, garnishment notices and other enforcement-related legal documents.


• Prepare, review and submit responses to Consumer Arbitration Committees and handle legal notices, including garnishment and attachment notifications.


• Manage legal notices and formal correspondence, including the preparation and review of responses to customer and third‑party requests.


• Maintain and monitor the litigation portfolio and provide regular reporting on material cases, legal risks, provisions and potential financial exposure.


• Coordinate with external counsel and ensure the quality, consistency and cost‑effectiveness of external legal services.


• Support the Company on data protection and privacy matters, including compliance with applicable data protection legislation, data subject requests, privacy notices and contractual privacy requirements.


• Provide practical and business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders and proactively identify and mitigate legal risks.
