Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. in Gebze, Turkey, is seeking an experienced Material Management professional to manage procurement of critical materials, optimize inventory levels, and drive efficient replenishment plans to balance cost, time, and quality.

You will coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time deliveries, lead MRB reviews, maintain data in ERP, and implement Kanban and cycle counting programs while supporting supplier performance measurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Material & Metallurgical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Material Management, Supply Chain, or Procurement.
• Strong verbal and written skills in English and Turkish.
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems and proven experience in leading or supporting procurement/supply chain project deployments.
• High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Willing to work at Gebze plant.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data relevant to material requirements planning activities including sourcing and replenishment, supplier, planning calendar, material, and location data.
• Lead MRB meetings and share outcomes to stakeholders to optimize obsolete inventory.
• Manage inventory control activities; eliminate excess/obsolete material and maintain accuracy.
• Improve inbound order management and implement Kanban/VMI to optimize DoH/inventory levels.
• Responsible for Cycle Counting program with daily counts and timely discrepancy resolution.
• Create and process timely requisitions and purchase orders for critical materials.
• Track critical orders and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Coordinate quality inspections upon delivery and ensure goods meet specifications.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and measure performance on quality, delivery, service.
• Communicate with suppliers daily and organize meetings to resolve supply issues.
• Work with finance, sales, and operations to resolve issues.
• Initiate actions on non-quality/missing/damaged materials and follow through with suppliers.
• Contact suppliers in case of non-quality/missing/damaged materials.

Job Description Summary

Perform and control procurement processes of critical materials at the right cost, time, and quality. Deploy and maintain material master and inventory replenishment plan(s) that optimize service level, inventory levels, and logistics cost. Participate in regional / business inventory forecasting and follow-up processes. Effectively optimize inventory levels and ensure inventory accuracy.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain data relevant to material requirements planning activities including sourcing and replenishment, supplier, planning calendar, material, and location data
• Lead regular Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and be responsible to share outcomes to stakeholders (finnce, engineering, sales, plant) to optimize obsolete inventory
• Manage inventory control activities; excess and obsolete material elimination, maintain inventory accuracy, analyze, and improve material movement and establish inventory locations and utilize inventory space
• Improve the efficiency of inbound order management and incoming goods process. Implement Kanban/VMI best practice tools and processes to reduce/maintain the optimum DoH / inventory levels
• Responsible for Cycle Counting program, ensuring counts are done daily and timely resolution of discrepancies
• Planning, creating, and processing timely requisitions and purchase orders for critical materials
• Tracking critical orders, Ensuring on-time deliveries
• Working with Quality Assurance for inspection upon delivery to ensure orders are filled correctly and that goods meet specifications
• Developing strong relationships with key suppliers and measure suppliers’ performance based on quality, delivery, and service level
• Communicating with suppliers daily and organizing meetings and projects as needed to resolve supply issues
• Working with other internal departments such as finance, sales, and operations to resolve issues and concerns
• Initiating actions on non-quality / missing/damaged materials and following through the resolution with suppliers
• Contact with supplier in case of non-quality / missing/damaged materials

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Material & Metallurgical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
