BİM Birleşik Mağazalar A.Ş., Turkey's leading hard-discount retailer, seeks a Java Backend Developer to join its e-commerce platform team. You will own backend services end-to-end and collaborate with product and engineering to build scalable, reliable systems.

You'll work with modern tools and AI-assisted coding practices, focusing on performance, security, observability, and maintainability in a high-traffic environment.

Competenze

• 3–8 years backend development experience.
• Proficient in Java and the Spring Boot / Spring Cloud ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools as part of daily development workflows.
• Experience building event-driven systems with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases and query optimization.
• Experience with Redis caching.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container-based deployment.
• Strong emphasis on code quality, maintainability, test automation, CI/CD and observability.
• Experience with AWS services (EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, MSK, S3).
• Experience working on high-traffic systems (e-commerce, payments, etc.).
• Experience with Elasticsearch / OpenSearch for search and filtering.

• Contribute to architectural design and develop backend services end-to-end.
• Utilize AI-assisted coding tools as part of daily development workflows.
• Own backend services in production from development to deployment.
• Build inter-service communication and data flows aligned with the existing architecture.
• Develop solutions with scalability and performance targets in mind.
• Apply security and observability practices throughout development.
• Collaborate with product and other teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold quality and maintainability.
• Analyze challenging technical problems and implement effective solutions.
• Document development work and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
