Job Description
  • Facilitate customs processes for sales, procurement, logistics, and finance departments.
  • Coordinate with logistics to prepare Certificates of Origin (CoO).
  • Assist procurement in securing supplier declarations required for customs compliance.
  • Support preparation of circulation certificates and oversee customs transfer sales tracking.
  • Monitor and control license requirements, Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV), and anti-dumping status.
  • Prepare monthly VAT refund reports and manage customs duty refund tracking.
  • Obtain necessary special permits and coordinate approval for additional costs.
  • Prepare and submit legal declarations, petitions, and applications to customs authorities.
  • Manage exceptional value declarations including compensation, royalty, and license invoices.
  • Identify applicable import declarations and perform tax calculations related to incoming compensation invoices.
  • Compile and submit ACC4 invoice-based lists for additional tax and VAT payments.
  • Handle preparation and submission of exceptional value declaration petitions for subsequent years.
  • Complete supplementary declarations for licensed imported products (e.g., Awenta, Topband, Ningbo).
  • Serve as SAP Key User, facilitating process monitoring and integration with global ERP projects such as ISIS, S4, and Trinity.
  • Drive process improvements and ensure accuracy of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Prepare and deliver daily transaction tracking reports to internal logistics customers.
  • Prepare and submit monthly import and export statistics reports.
  • Generate VAT refund reports and maintain reporting on goods in transit and warehouse inventories.
  • Monitor and report export realization timelines.
  • Conduct self-assessment audits related to customs operations to identify risks and ensure compliance.
  • Track MLP processes within PRM systems and monitor transit workflows from bonded warehouses (BWH).
  • Investigate, document, and report transportation damages.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in foreign trade and customs operations, preferably within multinational organizations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of import/export regulations and customs compliance procedures.
  • Proficiency in VAT refund processes, anti-dumping measures, licensing, and compensation invoice management.
  • Solid experience with SAP systems, ideally including the GTS module, and familiarity with customs digital platforms.
  • Advanced analytical and reporting skills utilizing Excel, SAP (preferably ISIS), and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy in documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated track record of contributing to ERP integration projects and process optimization initiatives.
  • Strong capabilities in risk assessment, problem-solving, and legal customs knowledge.
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives to completion.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively across diverse teams such as Sales, Logistics, Finance, and Procurement.
  • Highly proactive, organized, and self-driven professional approach.
  • Skilled in delivering training and fostering awareness on compliance and customs-related topics within the organization.
