Job Title: HR Specialist, METCA
Division: Weir Minerals
Location: Dilovası, Kocaeli
Onsite/Hybrid

Purpose of Role: As a Human Resources Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a thriving workplace by managing daily HR operations, onboarding new hires, and supporting employee development initiatives across the METCA Region, covering the Middle East, Turkey, and Central Asia. This role is integral to aligning HR practices with business goals and ensuring compliance with labor regulations. By driving employee engagement and contributing to training programs, you will support the region's growth and enhance organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Administration and Compliance: Align HR initiatives with business objectives to support regional growth. Develop and implement HR policies across the METCA Region while ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations. Maintain accurate employee files, manage HR system updates, and oversee the organization and archiving of all mandatory documents.
  • Onboarding and Employee Development: Design and manage onboarding plans for new hires to ensure seamless integration into the organization. Collaborate with line managers to create development plans and oversee training activities on the Global HR System, including tracking attendance, progress, and certification. Facilitate initiatives such as English classes and employee engagement programs to foster a productive and collaborative workplace.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing concerns and providing guidance. Enhance engagement activities by organizing events, coordinating logistics, and promoting an inclusive and positive workplace culture.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and report key HR metrics, including time sheet, probation periods, performance management processes, and updates to organizational charts.
  • Legal Compliance: Collaborate with external partners and government authorities for immigration processes, including managing work permits for foreign employees.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR functions for min 3 years, preferably in a dynamic and diverse work environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with employees and stakeholders.
  • High emotional intelligence, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to handling challenges.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure HR processes run smoothly.
  • Proficiency in HR systems (Workday & Idenfit is a plus) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Fluency in Turkish and English.
