Job description

Description - An Internal Security Manager directs security personnel to deliver a safe Guest and Member experience while coordinating with government and law enforcement and ensuring compliance with local safety legislation and emergency procedures.

What will I be doing? As a Security Manager, you are responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of security personnel, liaising with government and law enforcement agencies, and organizing patrols of the property to ensure safety. You will also work closely with the Hilton Safety/Security Director on important matters and ensure hotel compliance with safety regulations and emergency procedures.

Specifically, your responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining good communication and work relationships across the hotel.
2. Coordinating with government and law enforcement agencies as necessary.
3. Organizing additional personnel for conferences and banqueting functions.
4. Organizing patrols of boundary areas, bedrooms, offices, storage areas, public areas, and function rooms.
5. Assisting the hotel in complying with local fire safety legislation.
6. Ensuring security department compliance with local safety legislation.
7. Carrying out tours for fire prevention, safe escape routes, and security.
8. Investigating and reporting thefts within the hotel, liaising with police as needed.
9. Collaborating with the Hilton Safety/Security Director on company policies and mutual interests.
10. Leading security personnel, implementing safety procedures, and advising other departments on security matters.
11. Preparing incident reports.
12. Working with departmental heads to ensure staff awareness of security responsibilities.
13. Planning, delivering, and facilitating staff security training.
14. Understanding and communicating hotel terrorist procedures and fire/emergency protocols.
15. Managing key control across departments.
