Job summary

An innovative tabletop game studio in Istanbul is looking for an experienced writer to join their team. The role focuses on crafting narratives, creating memorable characters, and writing elements essential for game design. Ideal candidates should have a strong command of English, be passionate about TTRPGs, and possess at least two years of writing experience. This position is exclusive to residents of Istanbul.

Qualifications

• Strong command of English is mandatory.
• Experience in collaboration with a team is essential.
• Experience writing game mechanics is a plus.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated passion for games, especially TTRPGs.
• At least two years writing for games, including game mechanics, is a plus.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate writer to join our team at Metis Creative. We are a small tabletop game studio based in Istanbul; we are the creators of the acclaimed Historica Arcanum series, among other projects. We are seeking someone to join the Writing Team and craft narratives, create monsters and memorable NPCs, spin tales, and weave plots! If this sounds like something you are interested in and have experience in, we would love to hear from you!

NOTE: This position is open only to people living in Istanbul, Turkey at this time.

Responsibilities

Write story elements, character descriptions, monster stat blocks, magic items, and other aspects of game design

Work with the Lead Writer to create compelling and evocative stories and locations, and craft memorable encounters
