Responsibilities

  • Review transfer work and advise students on degree requirements.
  • Assist incoming students with enrollment for the current semester.
  • Admit students to the graduate program and compile advising files.
  • Develop degree plans for students and provide academic guidance.
  • Perform degree auditing and graduation processing.
  • Assist with Graduate Commencement activities.
  • Travel for training as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Position Summary

The Graduate Advisor II is responsible for reviewing transfer work, providing academic advice, and assisting incoming students with enrollment for the current semester.

Essential Job Duties

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Understand all ECU degree requirements
  • Understand all ECU program articulations
  • Admits students to Graduate Program
  • Compiles advising files for each student assigned
  • Develops a degree plan for student
  • Provides academic advice and helps students enroll in recommended courses
  • Performs degree auditing and graduation processing
  • Helps with Graduate Commencement
  • Travels for necessary training
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.

Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
