Job summary

hrmade seeks an experienced Quality Assurance & Quality Control Director to lead the organization’s quality and food safety function within the food industry. The role oversees end-to-end QA/QC across materials, production, storage, and finished products, strengthening systems and embedding a quality culture.

The candidate should have 10+ years in food quality, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with HACCP and ISO standards, plus English proficiency for international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in the food industry.
• Hands-on QA and QC experience across operations.
• 3+ years of team management experience.
• Proven quality management in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with supplier quality, procurement, operations, labs, and certifications.
• Advanced knowledge of HACCP and ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 standards.
• Experience with BRCGS/IFS, ISO 9001, GMP, GHP, hygiene and sanitation.
• Strong knowledge of microbiological and chemical analysis, pesticides, mycotoxins, and allergens.
• Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with international customers, auditors, and certification bodies.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end QA and QC across raw materials, production, storage, and finished products.
• Establish and improve quality and food safety standards across processes.
• Manage QA/QC systems and ensure compliance with international standards.
• Oversee supplier quality activities including audits and performance monitoring.
• Lead laboratory operations and finished product quality controls.
• Manage food safety risks including pesticides, mycotoxins, allergens.
• Lead customer quality processes, complaint analysis, and CAPA.
• Lead audits by customers, cert bodies, and regulators.
• Coordinate certification activities and continuous compliance.
• Define and monitor QA/QC KPIs; report to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Develop and mentor the quality team; promote a quality culture.
