Overview
Job Title: Local Finance Manager / Specialist (Turkey)
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting voucher preparation, review, and posting to ensure accuracy and completeness; maintain general and subsidiary ledgers to guarantee book-to-physical alignment.
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures per Turkish GAAP and corporate standards; prepare and submit timely financial reports to headquarters.
- Review employee reimbursements, supplier invoices, and payment requests for compliance with company policies and tax regulations; oversee bank transactions and daily fund operations.
- Maintain and archive accounting documents in accordance with Turkish legal requirements and internal control policies.
- Collaborate with HQ finance teams and cross-departmental stakeholders to support operational needs and ad-hoc financial analysis.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of finance/accounting experience in Turkey; prior exposure to multinational corporations or auditing firms is preferred.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken) for effective cross-regional communication.
- Solid understanding of Turkish GAAP, tax laws, and IFRS; practical experience with accounting software (e.g., Logo, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Meticulous, responsible, and committed to confidentiality; strong time management and execution skills to deliver results under deadlines.
