Field Service Specialist - Mechanical must support Field Service and Aftermarket growth by securing service and retrofit on own installed base and competitors' installed base. The role involves close collaboration with Aftermarket and Engineering teams. The FSS must service all customers professionally, ensuring high customer satisfaction. Technical Advisors are expected to work consistently to secure on-time delivery of support to customers and business partners.

The main responsibilities include:

  1. Supervision of new installed base, maintenance, service, and retrofit support.
  2. Identifying new opportunities such as sales, service agreements, and technical support/solutions.
  3. Managing project teams (non-commercial).
  4. Providing technical support on-site and internally at Howden.
  5. Ensuring clients utilize equipment according to manuals and documentation.
Your Daily Activities Will Include…
  • Providing on-site technical support, including new installations, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting.
  • Performing field service activities in accordance with manuals and technical documents.
  • Overhauling and repairing assemblies on-site and/or in the workshop.
  • Ensuring all work complies with HSE guidelines and local regulations.
  • Preparing reports, test results, and verification documents.
  • Supporting Howden's market share and position development.
  • Advising customers based on Howden's specifications and standards to maximize value and results.
  • Respecting company rules and guidelines set by management.
  • Participating in start-up meetings and sharing know-how with internal staff.
  • Being flexible, a good listener, proactive, and able to work under pressure, with effective communication skills.
Desired Professional Experience
  • Degree from technical universities or vocational technical schools.
  • Experience with rotating equipment such as fans, blowers, compressors, and turbines is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Hands-on technical experience required.
  • Strong technical skills and service-minded attitude.
  • Good communication skills in English and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • B class driving license required.
  • No military obligation.
  • Mechanical skills essential.
