What you will do

The Field Service Engineer role is dedicated to ensuring the highest quality standards for Volvo Penta products and services. This role involves providing technical support to Volvo Penta Business Partners and key OEMs, managing warranty and quality audits, providing on-site support, and conducting evaluations and inspections when necessary.

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Attending training sessions to maintain competence regarding Volvo Penta products and services, as agreed with the local Service Market Manager, and applying this knowledge in support activities.
• Providing technical assistance to Volvo Penta Business Partners and key OEMs as directed by the Service Market Manager.
• Offering on-site technical support and investigations as needed or directed.
• Preparing Market Quality Reports and creating Argus Service Requests to obtain central technical support.
• Performing warranty quality audits based on claim details from the warranty department.
• Managing warranty and goodwill budgets by evaluating and inspecting claims.
• Auditing nominated Volvo Penta dealers against the Dealer Operating Standard as required.
