Our Oilfield Services Team is assembling and testing the latest products of oilfield equipment which is the beating heart of our work. We collaborate with our development teams in science, mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, and geoscience to develop innovative drilling tools.

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble, and perform the visual inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies. While assisting in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment, you will perform all tests with minimal instruction. You will provide technical support across the business while complying with HS&E policies.

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting, testing, assembling, disassembling, and performing visual inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Reviewing procedures for assembly, disassembly, and test verification accuracy.
  • Configuring test stations and systems.
  • Analyzing and interpreting data from environmental tests and troubleshooting equipment problems.
  • Assisting in the set-up of experiments and recording experimental data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups.
  • Testing and evaluating the performance, and if required, repairing general-purpose test equipment.
  • Providing coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence and providing leadership to technicians in a work group/team.
  • Inspecting and dispositioning parts and equipment, ensuring compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Technical diploma or Associate's degree in Electrical or Mechanical field.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of maintenance-related experience in electro-mechanical functions (airline, military, oilfield, automotive, electronic).
  • Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts lists, and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices.
  • Be proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes.
  • Be proficient in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers, and other basic instruments, with an advanced level of analytical ability to find solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Have advanced skills in soldering and assembling electro-mechanical devices.
  • Have advanced computer skills.
