Job description

The Director of Projects and Services is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Projects and Services organization in Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan (TTAGK). This person will need to implement the strategy per European guidelines and define and build the annual operating budgets.

Additionally, the Director of Projects and Services will ensure the necessary capacities and skills for the effective execution of projects and maintenance activities. They will define and implement the personnel and material resources, as well as the means required to achieve the objectives.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Implement a two-way communications plan to keep the operations team advised.
  • Partner with the sub-regional management team to analyze and implement the strategic plan, incorporating the strategic directions of both the World Area and business units.
  • Develop annual operating budgets in conjunction with Finance and Sales leadership and drive monthly review and forecasting activities through POR.
  • Handle the S&OP process and lead monthly meetings to evaluate and anticipate the operational load (e.g., analysis of forecasts and operational outstanding).
  • Ensure operational readiness, capacity, and utilization while improving customer-facing capabilities in FEED, consultancy knowledge, and the integration of new portfolio offerings through organizational development.
  • Maintain project controls (PMO) and risk management to ensure consistent project performance.
  • Drive and embed a culture of continuous improvement of performance and innovation to deliver efficiency and speed of execution.
  • Leverage the capabilities of the European Hubs and Global Engineering Centers to improve performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Be an integral part of the sub-regional and European management teams, sharing knowledge and supporting key initiatives.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., business, communications, Automation).
  • Demonstrated experience in the automation industry with broad technical knowledge across segments (Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Refining, Pharma, etc).
  • Minimum of 10 years of operational management experience.
  • Proficiency in English and French for presentations, negotiations, and daily communication.
  • Strong customer interfacing skills and commercial acumen.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Additional education in business administration, operations, or project management is advantageous.
  • Extensive understanding of business drivers in Project Management.
  • Familiarity with service management and service excellence.
  • Proven leadership and line management success.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a matrix organization.
