As an Accounting Manager, you will ensure the accuracy of JTI Portugal's Balance Sheet and P&L statements. Your responsibilities include coordinating month-end close, preparing reports for HQ, managing external audits, ensuring correct booking of intercompany transactions, and maintaining compliance with IFRS and Portuguese SNC regulations. You will also support customer financing and oversee the delivery of financial updates for FCF and Market purposes, supporting other Iberian entities as needed.

What will you do?

• Define project scope and deliverables, oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish, and monitor progress.
• Lead multiple projects ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards. Manage design, BOQ, tendering, contracting, and claims. Negotiate contracts with vendors.

Responsibilities include:

Financial Statements (IFRS and Portuguese SNC):

• Perform and control month-end closing tasks, ensure expenses are booked correctly, and reconcile intercompany agreements.
• Maintain the accuracy of financial statements under IFRS and Portuguese SNC.

Financial Reporting:

• Ensure the accuracy of JTI Portugal's Reporting Package and reconcile reports between SAP4 and BW.

Statutory Accounts:

• Maintain accurate statutory financial statements and ensure timely preparation of annual accounts.

External Audit:

• Manage relationships with external auditors, coordinate audits, and support audit activities.

Compliance:

• Implement efficient processes for trial balance control, update procedures for IFRS and statutory changes, and execute SOX controls.

Customer Agreement:

• Act as the key contact for customer relationships, monitor deviations from plans, and ensure timely updates for FCF and market purposes.

Requirements:

• University degree in Finance; Master in Accounting/Auditing is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years in a similar role or as a Big 4 auditor.
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese SNC and IFRS.
• Advanced Excel skills; SAP4 experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented, proactive, fluent in English.
