We are seeking a new team member for our Istanbul office to join us and contribute to our success and growth in the Turkey Region as part of the OMCE (Omron Management Center Europe) team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all general ledger transactions for local GAP are posted completely, accurately, and timely.
- Perform month-end procedures within set deadlines to support the Financial Controllers in reviewing monthly reports.
- Assist Financial Controllers by creating and reviewing reconciliations and lead schedules for all balance sheet and profit & loss account balances.
- Support the Compliance Manager and external partners with internal reporting, preparation, and review of VAT and other tax declarations, and report to relevant authorities.
- Maintain AP approval setup and update management rules.
- Check AP invoices within the Presenter environment, ensuring processing and coding accuracy.
- Support and instruct the Shared Service Center in NL, and monitor activities.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Provide general assistance to the internal organization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Approximately 5 years of hands-on accounting experience.
- Experience working in a shared service environment.
- Knowledge of monthly and annual general ledger accounting and closing processes.
- Knowledge of VAT and transaction tax reporting and compliance.
- Familiarity with accounting guidelines such as US-GAAP, Turkish GAAP, and J-SOX.
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software, preferably JDE/SAP.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Strong participation skills in group meetings.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, time management, reporting, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and administrative skills.
- Proactive in addressing business issues and taking corrective actions.
- Flexible, able to work under pressure, and meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
