Job summary

Motlow State Community College seeks an Economics instructor to join its rotating faculty across multiple campuses in middle Tennessee. The position supports student learning through quality instruction and active advisement, aligned with catalog descriptions and course outlines.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s in Economics or related field with graduate coursework; preferred candidates have three years of CC teaching experience and can teach in an additional MSCC field.

Qualifications

  • Masters in Economics or equivalent with required graduate coursework.
  • Experience and knowledge of FERPA confidentiality rules.
  • Ability to teach at community college level preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses as assigned per catalog and syllabus.
  • Provide academic advisement and mentoring to students.
  • Travel to multiple campuses as assigned.
  • Collaborate with faculty and leadership on curricular issues.
  • Teach a 15-hour load per semester; summers voluntary.
  • Post and maintain office hours for student advisement.
